11:00am - 12:30pm

Richard III Statue, St Martins

A Scenic Stroll South from the City

Saturday 26 November at 11am

Starting from the Richard III statue in Leicester Cathedral Gardens, St Martins, city centre.

Up to 90 minutes, steady pace. Accessible

Information about the pace of our walks (and much more) can be found on our Leicester City Council Group Walks page.

Enjoy the views of Castle Gardens, the waterway and iconic landmarks including Leicester’s Statue of Liberty as we take a scenic stroll south from the city centre. We head out along the canal and return via the Great Central Way. This walk of 2.6 miles will be led by one of our Walk Volunteers, pausing for a little information along the way. This is an accessible route on firm paths.

The walk is free to attend, short and suitable for most. Walking or wheeling, we hope you’ll join us!

This is a repeat of the walk first offered on Wednesday 16 November, for those that missed it.
