Kegworth carriageway resurfacing works

15th – 26th July 2024 – Works in place 07:30 – 18:30 Monday to Friday only.  

Passengers are advised that London Road, Market Place and Derby Road be closed to enable Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.

During the closure periods, services will operate to the following diversion routes.

  • Kinchbus Skylink Derby –  Will divert via the A6 Kegworth Bypass, serving Whatton Road and Broadhill Road on a one way loop, then onto Ashby Road to resume the normal route. 
  • Arriva 901 Notts University Hopper Bus –  Will route via Sideley, Derby Road, Dragwell, Nottingham Road and will not be able to serve Market Place. The bus is likely to be travelling in the opposite direction than would usually be expected on Nottingham Road.
  • NottsBus Connect – Passengers are advised to refer to the NottsBus app, pick-up points will be allocated nearby which avoid the closure zone.
  • Soar Valley Community Bus – Will route via Dragwell and Nottingham Road and will not be able to serve Market Place.

Outside of these times services will operate to their normal routes.

MMDR – Services R1, 29A, 100

 

Passengers are advised that the A606 will be closed from 1st July, until 25th August 2024, to enable Leicestershire County Council to facilitate works on the North and East Melton Mowbray Distributor Road (NEMMDR) scheme.

During this closure, Services R1, 29A, 100 will operate to a diversion route and residents of Burton Lazars will have access to a temporary replacement taxi service to and from Melton Mowbray.

 

This service will be available Monday to Friday

at the following times:

  • 11:10 from the bus stop layby opposite Cross Lane in Burton Lazars to Melton Mowbray, Chapel Street bus stand.
  • 13:25 from the Chapel Street bus stand in Melton Mowbray returning to the bus stop layby opposite Cross Lane in Burton Lazars.

Please note that the replacement taxi service will not operate if not booked in advance.

Mountsorrel – Arriva 127

Service Disruption 

Passengers are advised that Loughborough Road, Mountsorrel, will be closed from Monday 15th July 2024, for up to 10 weeks, to enable Power On LTD to facilitate works to install a new high voltage electricity cable connected with the Broadnook Development near Rothley.

During the closure, Service 127 will operate to a diversion route via the A6 will not be able to serve stops between The Green and Granite Way. 

Passengers are advised to access Service 127 via stops located at The Green in Mountsorrel, or north of the roundabout with Granite Way. Residents with mobility difficulties are being pointed to the availability of community transport provision in the form of John Storer House Loughborough.

Woodhouse Eaves Service 154

Service Disruption

Passengers are advised that Main Street in Woodhouse Eaves will be closed from Saturday 13th July 2024 for up to 9 days to enable Severn Trent Water to install new underground chamber apparatus.

During this time, Service 154 will follow a diversion route via Brand Lane and will not be able to serve Woodhouse Eaves. 

Certain residents of Woodhouse Eaves will also have access to a temporary replacement taxi service to and from Quorn. This service will be available Monday to Saturday at the following times:

  • 07:15, 10:30, 12:05 from Main Street Woodhouse Eaves to Quorn High Street
  • 13:30, 15:49, 18:10 from Quorn High Street returning to Woodhouse Eaves Main Street.

Exact departure times will be confirmed at the time of booking.
