Leicestershire Enhanced Partnership

The Leicestershire Enhanced Partnership, more commonly known as Leicestershire Buses, is a collaboration between Leicestershire County Council and local, commercial bus operators, delivering public transport provision that supports the National Bus Strategy for England. 

The Leicestershire Enhanced Partnership Plan describes the Council’s vision to improve local bus services. The plan outlines a snapshot of the Leicestershire bus network, discussing vehicles, tickets and timetable information. Network priorities for improvements are set out in the plan and have been identified through public engagement.

Specific improvements are made through individual Enhanced Partnership Schemes. The Leicestershire Enhanced Partnership Scheme for Buses commits:

  • All bus operators in the county to only make service changes on specific agreed dates.
  • Bus operators using the B4114 Corridor (Narborough Road South) to provide services with low emission Euro VI standard vehicles only by 1 April 2024; and
  • The Council to audit bus stop infrastructure along the B4114 Corridor to identify future improvements.
