Passenger Transport User Group
As an outcome from its Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), Leicestershire County Council has formed a Passenger Transport User Group for residents who are interested in representing the views of bus users in Leicestershire.
The aim of the group is to help play a part in shaping the future of bus service provision in the county, including helping to consider the projects and schemes contained within the BSIP and to suggest those to be prioritised for implementation, subject to funding availability. We are equally keen to have representation from residents who already use buses and from those who don’t.
Could you help us to make our local bus services better? If so, we’d love to hear from you. It is a voluntary role with a commitment to attend two to three meetings a year that are held remotely over Teams and last between 1 to 1.5 hours in the early evening.
Outcomes of meetings are shared with the Leicestershire Enhanced Bus Partnership so giving bus users a real voice with the bus operators who work with the Council to collectively deliver the aims of the BSIP.
Our BSIP can be viewed here and our Enhanced Partnership Plan and schemes here.
