A Walk on the Wild Side – Nature Safari from Aylestone Rec to Washbrook Nature Area
Wednesday 19 October at 10am
Walk lasts up to 90 minutes, steady pace.
Meeting outside Aylestone Leisure Centre, Knighton Lane East, LE2 6LU (not on the Rec Ground, as previously advertised).
See what you can spot on this ‘nature safari’ walk. An experienced wildlife guide will lead you around this green space, pausing to talk about the different types of insects, plants and animals found in Washbrook Nature Area. A great way to have fun while discovering a little about nature in the city.
This walk is aimed at families and is part of the Family Fun event (10am – 1pm) at Aylestone Library, with free crafts and nature activities organised by the Saving the Saffron Brook project. The Family Fun event is free – just turn up. The Walk on the Wild Side nature safari is also free, but requires booking.
