This is our group walks programme for August 2023.

Walks are free to attend but places must be booked. For full details of each walk and to book, please visit Eventbrite via the links below. Alternatively, book by phone during office hours.

Family Stroll – Knighton Park to Attenborough Aboretum**. Aimed at families with young kids. Knighton Park car park, off Palmerstone Road. Steady pace. Up to 90 minutes. Details on Eventbrite

Family Stroll: A mini-journey through Braunstone Park. Aimed at families with young kids. Near gates to Winstanley House, centre of park. Steady pace. 60 -75 minutes. Details on Eventbrite
Sat 12 August, 10.30am Green Parks of North West Leicester Beaumont Leys Library, near Beaumont Shopping Centre Medium pace. Around 90 minutes Details on Eventbrite 
Tue 15 August, 11.30am Walk to Abbey Pumping Station for Railway Day & Green Volunteering Information Day  Abbey Pumping Station Steady Pace. Around 25 minutes’ walk to Abbey Pumping Station. Option to return with the group at 2pm or stay longer and return at your leisure. Details on Eventbrite
Thur 17 August,  10am A Walk on the Wild Side in Ellis Meadows*. Evesham Road entrance to Aylestone Meadows. Walking distance from Narborough Road. Steady pace. Up to 90 minutes.  Details on Eventbrite
Sat 19 August, 11am Victoria Park to Spinney Hill Park (return) Victoria Park main gates, London Road. Medium pace. Around 90 minutes. Details on Eventbrite
Wed 23 August, 11am Let’s Get Together Stroll – visiting Leicester Museum & Art Gallery Town Hall Square Steady pace. Up to 60 minutes for the walk plus visiting time at the museum.  Details on Eventbrite
Sun 27 August, 
1-4pm
Art on the street self-guided trail. Pick up the trail from the Town Hall Bike Park, for a look at street murals, old and new
Part of the August ‘Open Streets‘ event.

*We regret we don’t allow dogs on our wildlife-themed walks.
**Dogs are not allowed in Attenborough Arboretum, except for assistance dogs.
