This is our group walks programme for July 2023.
Walks are free to attend but places must be booked. For full details of each walk and to book, please visit Eventbrite via the links below. Alternatively, book by phone during office hours.

Saturday 15 July | Scenic Stroll South of the City | Richard III Statue by Leicester Cathedral, off St Martins / Peacock Lane. | Steady Pace. Up to 90 minutes with light information along the way. | Details on Eventbrite |
Monday 17 July at 10.30am | Family Stroll – City Centre to Leicester Castle & Newarke Houses. Aimed at families with young kids. | Highcross Monument, Jubilee Square | Steady Pace. Between 45-60 minutes. Plus time after at Newarke Houses for the Playtime Exhibition. | Details on Eventbrite |
Tuesday 18 July at 10am | A Walk on the Wild Side in Aylestone Meadows*. | Evesham Road entrance to Aylestone Meadows. Walking distance from Narborough Road. | Steady pace. Up to 90 minutes. | Details on Eventbrite |
Saturday 22 July at 10.30am | ‘Old School Leicester’ –A walk passing some of the city’s former school buildings with a little history information along the way | High Cross Monument, Jubilee Square, city centre. | Medium pace. Around 90 minutes. At around 3 miles, this is one of our longer walks. | Details on Eventbrite |

Tuesday 25 July at 11am | Family Stroll to Abbey Pumping Station for Railway Day. Aimed at families with young kids. | Abbey Park cafe | Steady pace. A 20-minute walk each way. You’ll have 1.5 hours to visit Abbey Pumping Station and enjoy railway day. | Details on Eventbrite |
Sunday 30 July at 1pm | On the Trail of Leicester’s Sporting Links Part of the July ‘Open Streets‘ event. |
