Healthier air for Leicester schools award

This award celebrates the work done by schools to encourage pupils and their families to travel to school more sustainably, which alleviates congestion outside of the school gates and improves air quality.

Schools in Leicester can be eligible for the award by meeting the criteria listed in the Healthier Air in Schools Award 2019-20. These are linked to school projects and awards that you may already be participating in, including Eco-Schools, Living Streets, School Run Parking and the Sustrans schools cycling project. Engaging in these activities allows pupils and staff to explore air pollution and can change the behaviour of the whole school community.
