Melton Bus Services Changes

Service Change

The review of Melton services is now complete. The county council has considered comments made at the engagement events and will be making the following changes with effect from Saturday 21st December 2019:

 

  • Integration of Services 23 (Melton Mowbray – Nether Broughton), 24 (Melton Mowbray – Bingham/Bottesford) and 25 (Melton Mowbray – Stathern) from 3 services down to 2 services and Bingham no longer being served. New service will 23 (Melton – Bottesford) and 25 (Melton – Stathern).
  • Integration of Services 100 (Leicester – Melton Mowbray) and 113 (Melton Mowbray – Oakham) with Leicester, Thurmaston, Gaddesby, Cold Overton, Knossington and Oakham no longer being served. New service will be 100 (Melton to Syston).
  • To replace Service 128 (Leicester – Melton Mowbray) with a Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) service which will serve Ratcliffe on the Wreake, Thrussington, Hoby, Frisby on the Wreake, Kirby Bellars and Gaddesby.
  • Cold Overton and Knossington to be provided with a DRT service.

Please note, due to minor timetable changes, some Melton service change notices which are currently posted at bus stops are now out of date. Updated notices will be posted at these stops in early January
