Group Walk: Ladies of Leicester

This route visits locations associated with some of Leicester’s notable women of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. It includes campaigners, teachers, Suffragettes and women whose work improved the lives of others in the city. The walk content is similar to the Suffragettes themed walk presented earlier this year, but the route has been extended to include some extra locations. At around 2.5 miles, this is one of our longer walks led at a medium pace.


Group Walks: Knighton Park to old Knighton village and St Mary Magdalen Church

This figure-of-eight walk starts in beautiful Knighton Park and uses suburban streets and gittys to explore the residential area north of the park. The route passes old Knighton village, St Mary Magdalen Church and the Attenbourgh Arboretum along the way. We then return to the park. At just under 3 miles, this is one of our longer walks, led at a medium pace.


Walk on the Wild Side: Braunstone Park

A Walk on the Wild Side in Braunstone Park is hosted by an experienced wildlife expert who will lead you around the park and talk about the different types of insects, plants, trees and other wildlife found here. Our wildlife expert will lead you on a 1-1.5 hour exploration of one of Leicester’s green spaces to discover more about nature in the city. Please note: we regret that dogs are not permitted on the wildlife walks

Join us for an atmospheric early evening social walk of 2 miles, passing some of the city’s iconic buildings and attractively lit locations. Our circular walk includes historic Leicester castle, the Guildhall and other historic buildings, as well as the pleasant modern development of the De Montfort University campus. We finish back in the city centre.
