Join us for a walk taking in the pleasant green spaces of Humberstone Park and Monks Rest Gardens via modern residential streets. We also pass through old Humberstone Village and include a little information along the way. At around 2.5 miles this is one of our longer walks, led at a medium pace. Booking is essential.
Public toilets are available in Humberstone Park.

This group walk heads from Belgrave to the National Space Centre via the new Charles Bennion footbridge and returns via the Holden Street footbridge. The route uses a combination of residential streets and pleasant riverside paths. This is a repeat of the walk led in 2021, called Bridges over the River Soar.

Join us for a 2-mile stroll through city streets passing faith buildings (past and present) which reflect the diversity of Leicester’s communities. We pause along the way for a little information about some of these attractive landmarks which are important places of worship and community hubs. Booking is essential as places are limited.


Evening Walk: Aylestone Meadows, Woodland & Grassland Walk

Make the most of summer evenings with a stroll through lovely Aylestone Meadows. This time we take in the park’s woodland and grassland areas. This is a short social walk, led by one of our volunteers covering a distance of around 2 miles at a steady pace. Due to the terrain (soft uneven paths and some steps) this is not an accessible route so is unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Please wear appropriate footwear. Please be aware there are no toilet facilities at this location.

Group Walks: Street Art (Murals) Along the Canal

We head along the Grand Union Canal and pass some great street art (murals) along the way. The canal art trail was painted by Graffwerk, a consortium of artists, with the help of local communities.  We return to the city centre via city streets, taking in a few more murals as we go. The walk finishes at the Clock Tower in the city centre.
