BSIP – Bus Service Improvement Plan 

Leicestershire County Council is required to state how it will specifically achieve the Enhanced Partnership objectives through a Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP). The Draft Plan 2024 reflects funding received from Government that will enable us to:

• Support the current commercial and subsidised networks to better meet school, commuting and other travel needs;
• Review local area networks to identify where these might be provided by innovative digital and demand-responsive services;
• Identify infrastructure pinpoints and improvements to reduce delays to buses
• Simplify and widen the fares offer for bus users; and
• Encourage the take-up by operators of zero emission buses.
