Summary
Bridges over the River Soar
Starting from Belgrave Library on Cossington Street.
This 2 mile walk heads from Belgrave to the pleasant riverside and National Space Centre using the new Charles Bennion footbridge and returns via the Holden Street bridge. The Charles Bennion footbridge helps to link Belgrave (east of the River Soar) with ‘Pioneer Park’ business park on the west side. This route includes a combination of residential streets, riverside and canal towpath. We pass the former factory British United Shoe Machinery and Wolsey factory sites along the way.
